Over the last 5 years the UK has cut it’s energy usage by 5% primarily by insulating 1 million homes. To continue this trajectory to meet our national and local CO2 reduction targets and meet our international Climate Change targets requires more homes to be better insulated to save energy, to be more sustainable. Even though grants have been cut or completely removed for renewable technology they are still an important consideration in the mix of making our homes more sustainable.

Thus Cheltenham Green Doors OpenHomes+Gardens event is even more applicable than it was 5 years ago when we first started. During the weekend 12th & 13th September local homeowners who have made their homes more sustainable will open them for FREE!

So if you’ve ever considered solar panels, biomass heating, internal, external or cavity wall insulation, cultivating a sustainable wildlife friendly garden, lowering your carbon footprint and lots more besides, then this event is for you.

This is a great opportunity to see real examples of what homeowners have done, talk to them directly about their experiences, the advantages and disadvantages, and get an unbiased view with no hard sell.

This brochure lists the houses & gardens that are participating, with opening times and their location. The website is the place to go for the most up to date information, more property photos and in some cases videos. The interactive map on the home page is a useful way to navigate to the properties you are interested in visiting.
